What it is, plainly
The first and fifteenth of each lunar month are days when the pure energies of heaven and earth converge. A Taoist priest offers incense on your behalf, presenting your respect to the deities - completing the offering for those who cannot attend the temple in person.
With your birth details and wishes registered, the incense smoke carries your prayers - averting misfortune, blessing the family and adding to your peace and merit. The offering is performed at the lunar turn you choose, and you are notified once it is complete.

The offering itself
Three sticks lit with the left hand and raised to eyebrow level as your details and wishes are reported to the gods; incense placed center, right, left before the Three Pure Ones; three kneelings and nine bows with the blessing praise.
